Founder's Journey
A brief tale regarding our founder, Rugun Anastasia, who obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering from Parahyangan Catholic University and began her professional journey in architecture and fashion retail. Eager to enhance her understanding of marketing management, believing it would complement her design background, Rugun pursued her education at the University of Indonesia to obtain a Master's Degree in Marketing Management.After graduation, Rugun chose to pivot her career to focus solely on 360 marketing management. She began her marketing communication career at a global insurer, Zurich Insurance. Subsequently, she maintained her strategic marketing position at an expanding property developer, Synthesis Development, where her expertise in architecture and marketing converged. After being employed by large corporations, Rugun desired a change, so she relocated to Bali to assist in launching a Canadian-owned wellness startup, Meghan Currie Yoga Online Studio, founded by the internationally acclaimed yoga instructor, Meghan Currie.Following her exploration journey in Bali, Rugun chose to return home to Bandung and worked remotely for a rising local Jakarta-based sanitary ware brand, Europe Enchanting, while occasionally traveling. This experience honed her skills and knowledge in marketing management, particularly in the dynamic e-commerce sector.Subsequently, Rugun advanced her career in market research and product development at Sequis Insurance, where she had the chance to thoroughly explore the initial phase of product design.After nearly eight years of experience with companies of different sizes in various sectors, Rugun made the choice to establish her marketing consultancy aimed at assisting small business owners in expanding their enterprises, leading to the creation of hajime.atelier.Rugun seeks to assist small business owners in launching and thriving in their ventures, particularly in Indonesia, where small and medium enterprises are the backbone of the nation's economy. Supporting local businesses will lead to job creation, which could hopefully lower the unemployment rate and contribute to economic growth.
